Gut Health
In this seminar on gut health, experts focused on how to achieve healthier poultry through balanced gut health and providing the birds with all the necessary nutrients. Keeping the birds healthy and feeding them the right ingredients and additives required a high level of knowledge and the full attention of nutritionists, farm managers, and veterinarians. Experts shared their top tips on improving the birds' gut health. The topic was addressed from both an on-farm perspective and a nutritional perspective, as speakers presented solutions for tackling gut health without the use of antibiotics, using effective alternatives instead. Starting November 20, this seminar will be available to watch online for free.
This year, Poultry World once again hosted engaging seminars at EuroTier in Hannover, live and in person at the show. Our editor, Fabian Brockotter, led seminars on poultry gut health as well as sustainability and welfare. Starting November 20, these seminars will be available to watch online for free. Sustainability & Welfare
Poultry World was proud to organize a seminar at EuroTier 2024 on Sustainability and Welfare in poultry production. These topics encompassed care for the environment, the birds, animal welfare, food safety and security, and the all-important economics. However, not every element worked together seamlessly. Improving sustainability and welfare in poultry production required not only reducing costs and maximizing productivity but also focusing on bird health, welfare, and societal concerns. Achieving the right balance was key. While societal demands acted as a strong driver, production aspects also needed to be considered. Consumer demands primarily focused on food safety and animal welfare, but improving health and performance proved to make the most significant impact on birds, the planet, and profitability. Starting November 20, this seminar will be available to watch online for free.
